I guess our weather has had something to do with what's going on, but my pumpkins got attacked by a bug I haven't had before, and the plants totally died, my peonies are mostly dead to the ground, not just a bit of black spot, but absolutely dead. I'll have to clean everything up and hope they come back. What's really weird is the new one I planted this year wasn't affected at all, nor was one other one, but everything else, all the heritage ones were. Hmmmmmmmm.

My flowers did not do well at all this year. Most summers it doesn't usually get so darn hot here but this summer was very hot, sunny, humid, and not a lot of rain. I planted a spilled flower garden in the spring and the critters kept digging out all my flowers. I kept putting them back in the ground but finally gave up on it. The whole garden died. I also have a tire that I plant flowers in and every year the flowers look beautiful in the tire. This year, they didn't do well and all died. I also have another garden on the side of the house and those flowers did ok but not great. I don't have much of a "green thumb" but I try. My mother-in-law has beautiful gardens at her house and she's always giving me flowers. They usually don't do so well with me, lol.

The critters have been digging up my bulbs all summer and leaving them in the sun. I keep trying to plant them before they die and the next day they're laying there again. Must be in the daffodil group because they aren't eating them. Just playing games with me....
