Throwback Thursday: The Webkinz Guide!
One of the main sources of information when we launched Webkinz World was the Webkinz Guide.
Every new member could find the guide in their Dock when they created an account.
When it was dragged into a room, the pet could open it and find out all of the latest information about the various features on the site.
However, over the years as Webkinz World grew, it eventually became too much to read in a single guide.
And we had also begun adding video tutorials to each location in Kinzville. So the decision was made to stop awarding the Webkinz Guide to new accounts.
Since it could never be traded or sold, those who created an account in the early days still have their Webkinz Guide and can look through it
to see what Webkinz World was like back then.

This is very cool! I never realized that they had stopped awarding this. Now I have to check to see where mine is. It might be on a coffee table in a decorated room, already. lol! This could be quite a challenge!  Do you have one? |

This is very cool! I never realized that they had stopped awarding this. Now I have to check to see where mine is. It might be on a coffee table in a decorated room, already. lol! This could be quite a challenge!  Do you have one? Like you I'm going to have to go on an expitition to find it-lol

I'm guessing it's in one of my very old rooms! I so wish they would implement some kind of search function. There are so many items I know I have, but can never locate!

Ah the nostalgia!!!! I remember getting the original one, which they "upgraded" to the second edition.
I didn't know it could still be opened! I need to go find mine too....

Does anyone know what year they stopped giving these out? I started playing in '07, so I'm guessing I have one somewhere if they were still doing it for the first 3 or so years. If it was only 05 or 06 then no point searching my house haha. 😂

Maybe you'll have it in your account. I finally found mine in one of my oldest rooms (a living room) on a coffee table. Good luck finding it! And welcome to WT!!  Just holler if you need any help! |

mine is in my Kids themed bedroom. it was the first theme i remember seeing so i thought it was most fitting there. My alt accounts have a different book, i believe. I'm gonna go open it now ehehe

Mine was also in the kids theme room! How funny. It's the second one, although the older original one looks familiar kinda so I'm wondering if I also have that somewhere. Sadly though, if I click on it the book no longer opens. Not sure if that's a glitch or if they disabled the function because it wasn't up to date anymore.
