Sneak Peek: Go Fishing on your Next Vacation!

Vacations are coming soon to Webkinz Next! And what’s a vacation without a little recreation?
One of the most exciting features of the new vacation is taking your family fishing!
Head to the boat at the end of the dock and climb aboard with your family for a fishing cruise!
When you get out to sea it’s time to cast off.
Here’s how it works:
Tap on the water to cast your line, then wait for a nibble. You’ll see the icon pop up when you have a fish on the line. Tap the icon.
A window will open on your screen showing your fish in the water, your reel, and your line tension.
Tap your reel – the green button in the bottom right corner of the interface – to reel in your fish.
Watch the tension on the line though! The line tension is shown in the window above the green button.
As the red circle gets wider, the line is getting tauter.
If the line tension is too great, the line will snap and the fish will get away!
You have three tries to get a fish on the line and reel in a fish without your line breaking.
While you’re fishing with your primary pet, the rest of your family is fishing too!
You might see a window pop up showing fish that the other members of your family have caught!
You can choose to keep or sell every fish that you or your family reel in. That’s a maximum of six fish per vacation.
The ones you keep go in your collection at the Travel Agency. It’s similar to your Gem Collection at the Curio Shop.
Best of all, if you’ve brought a baby or child along on your vacation, every time you go fishing you have a chance of earning a fish in an aquarium that you can place in your pet’s room! A pet for your pet!
Fishing in Next is so much fun. We can’t wait to introduce you to this cool new feature. You’re sure to be hooked!

I love the aquarium! I wonder if it will be affordable to go on vacation.

I love the aquarium! I wonder if it will be affordable to go on vacation. I hope they don't make it too out of reach! I never thought of the cost! I just thought it would be another area like vacation island in Classic. Eeeeks! |

This is a really cool feature, I'm excited to try it out. As for the price ^ my hope is that it is going to cost Kinzcash, not Diamonds. Hopefully 500KC like vacations used to cost when the Travel Agency was still around.

Maintenance today added the Vacation Feature.
A bit pricey...
100 Family score points for a free trip
2000 KC for a trip (can do this twice a day)
30 diamonds per trip (can do this three times a day)

A bit pricey... 100 Family score points for a free trip 2000 KC for a trip (can do this twice a day) 30 diamonds per trip (can do this three times a day) The family score points is so interesting as a currency... I wonder how it will affect the family score prizes. I'm sure each prize will still be obtainable only once, but I'm at about 10k points, I think. Let's say I go on a couple trips. If the next prize is at 12k, will I get the prize when I would have earned 12k points before spending, or when I hit it after spending? Does that make sense? Super interesting. I think I like it as a currency because it is otherwise useless, aside from earning you a one-time prize. I assume it is how most will be going on vacations. really looking forward to seeing how it affects earning the prizes though. |

I am not really a fan. I will do the fishing, just to see if I can collect them all. I had a tough one today, took a long time and finally my line snapped even though I was easing up. It makes the ipad run even hotter! Make sure you have plenty of charge because that one took a lot of time before the line snapped
