big edit: i've rehauled this post and made some minor changes to the template. it's now suited for any post and is easier to use overall. the template is roughly based off of the way posts are styled on the official webkinz newz blog, but it should be clear it's inspiration only & the forums are of course not affiliated with official webkinz or ganz. the code was written entirely by myself, but i don't want or need credit if you use it. it may also be edited, if you'd like to change anything about it.

Detailed Steps to Use- Go to create a post! You should see a text box.
- On the bottom-left of the text box, there will be two buttons: BBCode and Preview. By default, you will be in Preview mode. Click the BBCode button to switch to that mode.
- Once you are in BBCode mode, copy & paste the above code in.
- You may click Preview to switch back to that mode and continue making the post from there as you normally do!

Wow! Do you do coding or something? Because this seems way beyond what an average person could/would understand. My brain is boggled! lol! You're a smart cookie! ahh, actually, yes! a little, that is. im most familiar with CSS & HTML languages i actually got my degree in IT stuff, and i like almost all aspects of technology (programming, hardware/repairs, software, internet/networking, databases...) i am MOST well versed in CSS & HTML though since ive been using them since i was younger. i couldn't help myself to come up with a way to style my posts similar to WKN and it became a little personal mission to do it! id love to make other things like this for the forum too, but not sure what... also, yes, i realize it's probably a lot for most users to use  i tried to make it as easy as possible to fill in, but... it is trickier than just typing in a regular post, that's for sure!! but if anyone ever does feel like trying it out, i don't mind helping or etc either. and like i said, i just wanted to post it in case anyone did want to use or reference it in any way in the future! |

The only thing I worry about, especially using the template of Webkinznewz and the W, is that there may be an issue with infringement on their copyright. We don't want to get into trouble with Ganz. I'm not sure they'd like it. |

I think that you made it as clear and easy as you could given the subject. lol! I understand a little of it because I do a lot in the background on the forum. The only thing I worry about, especially using the template of Webkinznewz and the W, is that there may be an issue with infringement on their copyright. We don't want to get into trouble with Ganz. I'm not sure they'd like it. that makes complete sense. hmm... i don't believe the design of the template itself would be any infringement, especially because it wasn't even code i "stole" from them, i did write it myself for the forum. but it does intentionally mimic their newz blog, and i can see how they may claim we are impersonating them or trying to convince players that we are official in some way. it might be good to add some sort of disclaimer to the template that it isn't affiliated with the official newz blog at all? |

i will also say, while i am willing to edit the template, i am also willing to delete it. especially if even with edits it would still make anyone uncomfortable. i knew posting it that, as mentioned earlier, it's harder to use than just making a normal post so i'm not even honestly sure who might use it besides me anyway! since i had made it and used it a few times, i wanted to document the code here too in case anyone was interested in how i'd made my previous posts look that way. however the concerns are valid and its not a necessary part of the forum, so if deleting it is easier that's fine too. in which case i can also go back and edit my old posts to take out the styling too!! i really apologize if anything i've done has felt too forward, i am totally willing to do whatever will best fit the forum |

This is WT's favicon  You know... you can always make up your own template so that its totally different from the Webkinz one. We always want to use our own style anyway and that may make everyone more comfortable. ahh well... i went ahead and sanitized the original "newz" template. this one is still inspired by the official newz blog but is much different and also easier to use. it's now intended for personal posts, or just whatever anyone wants, rather than for news posts too! i took it upon myself to search up all the news threads i'd made in the past and i've converted them over to this template as well, so i think that's that. anyway if anyone ever is interested in making a flashier post, feel free to use the new template above in this thread. as said there, it's totally fine to edit it & etc as you want with absolutely no credit to me |
