Thanks for posting the Next stuff! I just can not keep up with both games . I was in the Beta group for Next, but I am not a big fan. I play every day, but it is a money pit to me and that is something I do not have much of  I do not buy the diamonds and spark.

Thanks for posting the Next stuff! I just can not keep up with both games . I was in the Beta group for Next, but I am not a big fan. I play every day, but it is a money pit to me and that is something I do not have much of I do not buy the diamonds and spark. you think so? personally i feel like what i prefer about next is that it asks for money less than classic... especially since many features in classic are completely barred from a free player until they either buy deluxe or a new pet  however, i also haven't bought diamonds or done anything with sparking in next either!! it doesn't interest me that much, i just like to log in and do daily things. actually, i just spent money for the first time the other day: i completed the "season" thing so i bought the season pass to get all the premium christmas items from it. it was $6.99 which i will say doesn't agree with me TOO much... i go back & forth on whether i think its fair or not. i get that ganz has to ask for a lot to keep things going. $6.99 isn't the absolute worst price, but i don't know, i think $4.99 might be more agreeable (especially since this is essentially a reoccuring payment, as new seasons run each month). but, also: i'm glad to help as far as covering next newz goes. i can't guarantee i'll stay on top of it forever, but i've enjoyed posting the newz recaps for now. i have a habit of getting REALLY into one thing and then moving to another, so i'm not sure if i'm stuck on webkinz for the long- or short-term at the moment haha... i was playing next daily for maybe a month or so before finding the forum, and now i'm jumping back into classic too, so i have high hopes for it lasting as an interest of mine. i'm really glad to have found an online community for the game, i think i was always missing that!  |

As for Next, all they push is the sparking and it is so random. I got some pretty ugly babies during Beta. Then came the seasons. 7.00 does not sound bad until you x it by 11 a year. Then there are the bugs that were present during Beta that they did nothing about. It was not ready for launch but they did it anyway. I only continue to play for the items to send back to my main account. I do enjoy some of it though, do not get me wrong. Guess I am just more loyal to Classic.
RL has been crazy the past few years and I just do not have as much time to spend in the forum. I am in and out all day between chasing the 15 month old grandbaby. I do appreciate you posting the Next stuff because it gives Newfie a little break. She works very hard in RL plus the forum. |

I started in Classic 12/07 and have never stopped. It has been my therapy. I never collected anything for years, then I discovered this forum and the rest is history Newfie and I go way back. I was on a mission for a few years to get as many one of a kind pets on one account as I could, then Hubby went and retired. We are living on a very small check each month so that put an end to that. I am down to retired and promo pets.

She works very hard in RL plus the forum. when you put it that way, yes i totally get why you wouldn't want to simply do away with classic, ESPECIALLY in favor of next which is really content barren. all those memories and years of investment!!! i think for me, i like next since the dailies are simpler to me. i also kind of like being "in" on the game near its very start. compared to classic, there's SO many events and things to do... it can be a full-time job trying to keep up with every angle in that game. but with that said, you're right that all they really do for next is talk about sparking & etc. when i finally started to follow webkinz newz, i was disappointed to see almost all events, updates, features, and posts in general are only about classic. next gets new things so sparingly in comparison. besides the plushes and sparking, there really isn't much going for next... for now, i'm willing to stick around and see where it goes though. i am also glad to be back in on classic though and have more fun things to look forward to in the game! if my posting really is helpful then i'm super glad!! i honestly just noticed the forum was recapping the newz stuff and decided to jump in. i had a bit of fun designing the template to make the posts mock the official newz site and it would be a shame not to put it to use... so i kinda kept it up! of course, if there are ever any issues or concerns with my posts i will gladly comply, too. if i feel myself start to become disinterested in webkinz, or next itself, i'll try to make a post that i won't be trying to cover the next info just for a heads up if that would be helpful too. |
